Men’s Opening Serve Gettysburg is looking to end a three-match skid and pick up its first victory in Centennial play. The Series Gettysburg owns a 33-24 lead in a series that began in 1924. The Bullets ended a two-match slide in the series with an 8-1 victory last season. Last Meeting Gettysburg swept doubles play and took five singles matches in straight-sets to defeat Muhlenberg 8-1 last spring. Mike McLaughlin and Johnny Nelson put the Bullets on the board with an 8-3 win at third doubles. McLaughlin shut out his opponent at No. 2 singles, while Chris Curran followed up a win at first doubles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Jordan Rutt at No. 1 singles. Last Time Out York took the final two singles matches in three sets to claim a 5-4 win over Gettysburg this past Wednesday. Chris Curran and Johnny Nelson accounted for the team’s lone doubles point with an 8-5 win at the top flight. Curran also won at No. 1 singles, while Mike McLaughlin and Mike Pratt each won in straight-sets at flights two and four, respectively. Scouting Muhlenberg... The Mules have dropped their first two spring matches by shutout. The team’s last victory was a 9-0 decision over Penn State Berks last September. Daniel Lakham and Eric Chavis are tied for the team lead with five victoriesin singles action. Jordan Rutt and Jason Teitelbaum combined to win four of five matches during the fall slate.

Women’s Opening Serve Gettysburg looks for its fourth consecutive victory and third against a conference foe today against Muhlenberg. Muhlenberg is currenty rated 12th in the Atlantic South Region.

The Series Muhlenberg carries an 11-match winning streak against Gettysburg into today’s contest. Gettysburg, which trails 11-8 in the all-time series, last defeated the Mules in 2000. Last Meeting Muhlenberg blanked Gettysburg 9-0 last season. The Mules swept doubles and took each of the six singles matches in straight-sets. Last Time Out Gettysburg shut out McDaniel on Wednesday before facing Messiah yesterday. Against the Green Terror, the Bullets dropped only three games in the entire contest. Isabelle Rodriguez and Kylle O’Sullivan posted an 8-0 win at the top doubles spot and the duo easily won their singles matches at one and two, respectively, by 6-1, 6-0 scores. Scouting Muhlenberg... The Mules are searching for their first win of the spring schedule. The team just missed a victory in conference play this past Wednesday, dropping a 5-4 decision to Swarthmore. Muhlenberg, ranked 12th in the Atlantic South Region, won four singles bouts including a 6-1, 7-5 decision by Emily Szulman at No. 2. Jennifer Goldberg picked up a 6-2, 0-6, 6-1 win at No. 3 and leads the team with a 7-1 singles record this season.
