Game Notes OPENING TIP The Bullets look to stay hot as they take on the Muhlenberg College Mules in their final Centennial Conference tilt of the semester. Gettysburg carries a four-game winning streak into tonight’s contest. ALL-TIME SERIES The Mules hold a slight 76-75 lead in the all-time series that started in 1915 and have captured four of the last five meetings. LAST SEASON VS MUHLENBERG Gettysburg and Muhlenberg split their season series last year. In the first meeting, the Bullets claimed a 75-54 decision here in Bream Gym on the strength of 22 points from Pete Christ and 16 points from Tanner Kirkpatrick. The Bullets led by just four at the half before outscoring the Mules 46-29 in the second stanza, when they shot a scorching 70.8% (17-for-24) from the field. In the grudge match at Muhlenberg, the Bullets whittled a 12-point deficit down to three in the final minute, but the comeback ran out of time as the Mules prevailed 77-73. Malique Killing scored 21 points to lead Muhlenberg while Kirkpatrick led Gettysburg with 19 points. LAST TIME OUT Junior guard Pete Christ tied a career-high with 22 points and the Bullets went on the road to beat defending Centennial Conference champion Dickinson College 77-58 this past Tuesday. Gettysburg trailed for a total of just 2:49 early in the game and broke it open with a 16-3 run midway through the first half. Junior forward Cody Kiefer added 17 points and 12 rebounds for his second-straight doubledouble while contributing five assists. Sophomore guard Matt England netted 15 points while senior center Kevin Gladstone pitched in with 11 points and a career-high eight assists. KIEFER COPS WEEKLY HONORS Junior forward Cody Kiefer captured a pair of weekly awards in honor of his outstanding performance in the team’s 83-70 victory over Johns Hopkins in its Centennial Conference opener. Kiefer, who erupted for a career-high 34 points, was named the

Centennial Conference Player of the Week before landing a spot on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week. He shot 11-for-15 from the field, 5-for-8 from 3-point range, and 7-for-8 at the foul line while posting the highest scoring output by a Bullet since Curtis McNeil ’02 scored 35 points versus Franklin & Marshall College in 2002. Kiefer also grabbed 10 rebounds for his fourth career double-double. AMONG THE CONFERENCE LEADERS Several Bullets are currently ranked among the top-10 in the Centennial Conference in a statistical category. Junior forward Cody Kiefer is seventh in scoring (15.4 ppg), seventh in rebounding (8.2 rpg), third in assists (3.8 apg), and eighth in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.4) while sophomore guard Matt England is ninth in scoring (14.6 ppg) and second in freethrow percentage (88.2%). In addition, senior center Kevin Gladstone checks in at seventh in field-goal percentage (56.4%), sophomore forward Cam Stewart is fourth in 3-point field-goal percentage (46.7%), and junior center Mlynue Reeves is tied for ninth in blocks per game (1.0). SCOUTING MUHLENBERG  The Mules enter today’s match-up on a high note after downing Haverford College 67-45 on the road this past Tuesday. Junior guard Brandon LaRose and sophomore guard Nick Rindock led Muhlenberg with 15 points apiece while junior center John Hunter contributed 10 points.  Muhlenberg came close to winning its conference opener but dropped an 81-78 decision to Franklin & Marshall, the Centennial Conference preseason favorite.  Hunter has led a balanced scoring effort for the Mules in the early going, averaging 12.7 points per game while adding 8.8 rebounds per night to go with 15 blocked shots. RULE CHANGES The NCAA instituted several rule changes to men’s basketball in 2015-16. Among the most noticeable differences are a shorter (30-second) shot clock, the elimination of the five-second rule when a player is dribbling, and dunks being permitted during warmups.
