Meeting was called to order at 7:03 by Commissioner Mike Robole.
Old Business
Review / Approve meeting minutes from Apr – Brian O. motioned, Lois W. seconded, approved unanimously. Tanner Tees - $70 per tee, purchased 15 approved via email between Apr/Mar meetings Purchased new mound to replace broken mound approved via email between Apr/Mar meetings Coach Development – MN Twins April 19 9am-12pm AVHS Gym—Mike felt most coaches liked it Looking for board replacements Fields for 10AA State Tourney will be handled by 2015 Cooperstown Team. They will be compensated $1500. Association shirts are in and are going out to each team.
Board Reports: 13-15 Age Group Coordinator – No report 10-12 Age Group Coordinator – 10AA didn’t get into Lakeville – the two teams were placed in other tourneys. Treasurer – No report Secretary – No report Concessions o Need to get the grill to VMS by the weekend. o Finalizing how to cover the tournaments with no AVTB teams playing in. Equipment o No report Fields o Water tank and trailer will be ready soon. o Boxes packed for each field containing all the supplies needed. o 4 wheeler is ready. o Discussed limiting use of field dry (removing water first). o First Impressions donated printing of large signs for each team to hang at tournaments and helmet stickers. Tournament Registrar o Teams are dropping out due to their low numbers. We will look for replacements. Tournament Coordinator o Brackets have been sent out. Brian is redoing brackets that changed due to teams dropping out. Uniform Coordinator o Kudos to Bill Nelson for stepping up! o A few uniforms are still being made. o Many families didn’t come to fittings and tried to swap out to get the right sizes. Additional pants in a few sizes are coming in this week. o Recommendation for next yr is to order #1-36 of ea size and reuse year to year. Custom uniforms are not feasible in the turnaround time we have. Tryout Coordinator o Absent Website Coordinator o Brackets are online for the tourneys this weekend. New Business The company Tom Peterson works for donated Tanner Tees. Birth certificates and concussion certificates. Coaches need to keep their own concussion training certificates. Parents will give birth certificates directly to their son’s coach. The board doesn’t have a good way to store and return certificates.
