PAPER PLAY (Foundation Paper-Piecing as easy as 1-2-3) Helen Abernathy Saturday, April 8, 10pm to 4pm

BEFORE class, use the CD in the back of The Quilter's Paper-Piecing

SH

We will continue fine tuning our foundation paper-piecing skills by making the “Fall Lantern” Block into a table runner. We will make four of this block to create the runner. Please try to make your color choices using darks and lights prior to class. We will add a border, so an additional 1/3 yard of fabric will be needed to complete the runner.

ILT

Workbook to print at least 8 copies each of Lanterns A, B, C and D. It is always nice to have additional copies in case of errors. FABRIC: go to page 42 for the fabric requirements for just one block.

QU

Then on pages 43 and 44 are the fabric requirements for the runner and blocks. Add an additional 1/3 yard of fabric for the border. This will make the runner wider and longer than the book states. I suggest labeling your fabric according to use – lantern 1, 2, 3 or 4. SEWING SUPPLIES: The Quilter's Paper-Piecing Workbook
