Summer brings on thoughts of days at the beach and sail boats. Create your own summer decoration with this half-towel featuring an embroidered or appliquéd sail boat and a hanging tab with a button closure.
Participants need to bring the following:

ILT
Red waffle towel (or color of choice)* 7” x 16” piece of fabric for the tab 2/3 yard each of two colors of jumbo rick rack 2 buttons for stacking (7/8” and 5/8” or smaller) or one large decorative button Pinking shears Gathering foot (if you have one) Buttonhole foot Matching thread and bobbin General Supplies (see below)

*It is advisable to pre-wash your towel before class as they do tend to shrink.
Sewing machine with power cord, pedal and tools Extra bobbins and needles Zigzag foot (regular sewing foot), open toe foot, edge foot Usual sewing kit – scissors, pins, seam ripper (just in case), marking pen or pencil (Frixion is great!), stiletto, etc. USB for machine embroidery downloads – if applicable
