No machines. Saturday January 9 10:00AM to 3:00PM Machine Embroidery Appliqueing the Cat Blocks, and Machine Embroidery the Paw Borders and assembling the quilt top. SUPPLY LIST: For the Finished Quilt 52 ½ x 59 ½ ● CAT’S MEOW by Lunch Box Quilts - Pattern and USB or Disc or Download with Applique Designs. Please check with the store regarding the device you choose to load into your machine. And please load the designs at home and confirm that your machine is reading the embroidery files prior to the class. ● Assortment of 28 or more different fat quarters for appliques and block bordersI recommend using Batiks as they are a denser weave and don’t fray. ● 1 Yard background for the cat blocks - Cut 2: 10” x 14” blocks, iron and starch for Tootsie and Whiskers! We will be sewing them on 1/9/16 ● 2 Yards background for the additional applique, embroidery and filler blocksCut One: 10”x10” block, iron and starch for a mouse! EEK! ● 1 yard of border fabric (optional) ● 3 ½ yards for the backing ● ½ yard for the binding Bring your Sewing Machine with embroidery module – Please check your machine for any lint that may need to be cleaned before class. Oil your machine if it is due. And bring the sewing machine and embroidery module manuals!! ● Embroidery scissors with a curved sharp point to be used for trimming the applique and a ruler 68” square. ● 145mm x 255mm or comparable size Embroidery hoop ● Medium weight tear away stabilizer (I used light weight and floated ‘scraps’ for additional stabilizing. I will demonstrate this in class.) ● 80/12 Microtex Sharp needles or a Topstitch needles (have a New needle installed before class) ● 60 wt Bobbin thread (polyester neutral color) Have a full bobbin wound prior to class ● Embroidery threads to complement fabrics to be used for the ‘kitties’ (the sample on display used Floriani threads) Any questions regarding the supply list or other concerns please contact me at: [email protected] or # 410-913-2008.
