June 2014 Meeting was called to order May 2014 Minutes 2 Corrections to the May Minutes Motion to Approve: Jeff Kraus / 2ND : Layton Badger / Approved Treasurer’s Report No new financial activity to report HS Boys Team Update – Coach Hoffman HS Camp will begin June 16th with 33 registered HS boys There are 2 teams registered for the summer tournament in Alexandria, MN in late July There are 2 games left to schedule for the 14-15 season HS Girls Team Update – Coach Gunderson HS Camp begins June 10th There will be 25 games for both Varsity and JV- 11 of those being home games The team will be attending a tournament in Warroad with a team bonding ice-fishing outing There will be 5 summer scrimmages throughout the summer 2 players from the team have made it to St. Cloud for the Advanced, 5 to Prospects and 2 to the National Camp. 2014 Kiwanis Hockey Festival Program Ad There is no additional info at this time Agenda Item –TABLED Culligan Partnership This proposal did not go through There will be no center ice logo Rink Committee On behalf of DCYH, Mike Stagman inquired about establishing a rink committee to meet with Howie on a monthly basis to discuss arena matters and to keep everyone informed and wanted to know if any Booster Club Members would be interested. There was discussion about number of committee members and frequency of meetings. Tom Rasmussen, Brad Wick, Jeremy Gunderson and Jeff Kraus attended previous meetings regarding the rink and are willing to continue. The group suggested keeping the committee to a manageable number and meeting quarterly. Any additional Booster Club members that are interested are to contact Mike Stagman.
Mandatory Fees / Mandatory Volunteer Hours The (ORIGINAL) Mandatory Fees/Mandatory Volunteer Hours form was emailed out to the membership prior to the Booster Club Meeting. There was discussion regarding the different mandatory fees/package options, fee deposit amounts, due dates and mandatory volunteer hour requirements. Motion to Approve the (ORIGINAL) Mandatory Fees/Mandatory Volunteer Hours form as presented to include the following amendments.* The form and requirements are final for the 2014-15 Season and will not be amended until next season. Golf Tournament There is a Golf Committee meeting following the Booster Club meeting for anyone interested. New Business Spaghetti Dinner is scheduled for January 9, 2014 o LeeAnn Hermanson is checking on prices and did report that the Events Center would only charge for food, not the building. Wine Tasting o LeeAnn Hermanson inquired about a possible wine tasting fundraiser on November 14 or 15. She is checking on prices with the Hubbell House and Apollo Liquor. She will put together a proposal to present. Relay for Life o Relay for Life is August 1, 2014. In the past, the girls and boys teams have done a separate activity and it was proposed this year that they do one big activity together. The ice has been reserved for a game that evening and all proceeds from the game will be donated. Captain Katie Robinson has been in contact with the boys team captains. Tressa will be in touch with the Relay for Life contact from last year and create an online team page and send out an information email to everyone. Team Photos o Coach Gunderson reported that the HS Girls team does have a contract with Ressler Photography and will be using them again this year for team and individual photos.
