DODGE COUNTY WILDCAT HOCKEY BOOSTER CLUB MINUTES July 14, 2014 ATTENDEES: Tom Rasmussen, Lisa Thoe, Tressa Smallbrock, Chad Smallbrock, Tina Suhr, Doug Suhr, Doug Robinson, Todd Shelton, Tim Lewis, Jeremy Schubert, Pam Rasmussen, Kim Postier, Amy Borgstrom, Mark Knutson, Jeff Kraus, Steph Kraus, Leah Leisen, Paul Leisen, Ann Steinberg, Paul Colvin, Cindi Colvin, Bruce Schillo, Darcy Biwer, and Laura Courteau  July 2014 Meeting was called to order  June 2014 Minutes Motion to Approve / 2ND / Approved  Treasurer’s Report  The balance given in the last statement is the balance going into the new season. Motion to Approve / 2ND / Approved  HS Boys Team Update – Coach Hofmann  There are 2 teams participating in the Alexandria, MN Summer Hockey Fest this weekend (July 18-20).  Boys JV schedule for 2014-15 needs 4 more games to be at a complete 25 game schedule.  Boys Varsity schedule for 2014-15 needs 1 more game to be at a complete 25 game schedule.  Boys Hockey program secured a spot in a scrimmage fest in Virginia, MN. On the first Saturday of the winter season. (November 15, 2014)  Boys Program (coaching staff) anticipate 40 players for the 2014-15 season.  HS Girls Team Update – Coach Gunderson  There are no updates since the last meeting  2014 Kiwanis Hockey Festival Program Ad  The school will cover the cost as part of the tournament registration fee.  Spaghetti Dinner  Scheduled for January 9, 2014  No additional info at this time.  Wine Tasting  No additional info at this time.  Relay for Life  Relay for Life is August 1, 2014. A Wildcat team on-line page has been created for participants to join and collect pledges. We will be decorating luminaries the week of the event. There we will have a Wildcat booth with activities during the event followed by a scrimmage for all HS players at 10:30pm that night. The ice has been donated for the gate fees will be donated. A t-shirt order is available for anyone participating. Tressa will send out a reminder email to youth and high school players and families.  Golf Tournament  A Golf Committee meeting will be held following the Booster Club meeting.  Kim Postier said that there are still job openings at the tables inside for the tournament.  Kim stated that some people have requested 2 shifts. She said at this time everyone will have the opportunity to take one and can be placed on the waiting list. Individuals will then be contacted if there are still jobs available closer to the tournament.  Tim Lewis said that there are also jobs available on the girls sign-up for helpers on the course and at the course games.

 New Business  Mandatory Fees – there were questions about Mandatory Fees and Volunteer Hours for the 2014-15 Season. The motion from the June meeting was referenced and the membership was given the option to add this to the agenda for next season. Cindi Colvin requested that it be added to the September 2014 Agenda. JUNE MOTION REFERENCE: Motion to Approve the (ORIGINAL) Mandatory Fees/Mandatory Volunteer Hours form as presented to include the following amendments.* The form and requirements are final for the 2014-15 Season and will not be amended until next season.  Game Day Programs- Bruce Schillo stated that a new Game Day Advertisement form is nearly complete and will be out soon. Bruce reminded members that the work on this is strictly volunteer hours.  Adjourn  Motion to Adjourn / 2ND / Approved
