Elementary. We hope you’ve all enjoyed the summer break. We are extremely proud of our faculty, staff, students, and families and are quite fortunate to have such a loyal team working towards the success of all students’ learning.

October 19-21
Fall Break—No School
Our school Day begins at 8:00 a.m., the elementary students in grades 1-5 will be eating breakfast upon arrival at approximately 7:30 a.m. Breakfast for these grades will be served only until 8:00 a.m. If you want your child to eat, please be sure they arrive on time. Students in Pre K and Kindergarten will be meeting in their classrooms upon arrival. Students in grades 1-5 will drop their backpack off at their classroom and go to breakfast. Any student coming into school at 8:00 or after will be counted tardy and must obtain a tardy slip from the office.

5th Grade Basketball Tishomingo Tournament TBA
Due to congestion and for the safety of ALL students, the main entrance area (by the flag pole) will be used for Bus Riders Only in the afternoon. As we did last year, ALL students who are being picked-up, will need to be downstairs at the East Pick-Up Area. Parents will need to come to that designated area for all pickups. The walker’s are placed together in the Elementary Library and then released after the buses have left. For STUDENT SAFETY, please do not park on either side of Marshall Street. Drivers will be entering the “one-way” pick up area on the east side of the school (Marshall Street) from the north. Students will be delivered to the pick up vehicle at the posted pick up area. Drivers will be exiting to the left (north) onto Marshall Street due to bus line-up on Fourth Street. To assist us in creating the least amount of confusion, we request that no parents wait or travel the hallways to pick up children. Please be at the designated pick up area outside.

The dismissal bell rings at 3:20 p.m. for students to prepare for departure. Learning takes place until that time. We discourage early dismissal unless it is an emergency. The best way to make sure your child knows where they are going after school is to tell them before they come to school. If a change needs to be made send a note to your child's teacher. Thank you for being supportive and understanding of our daily school procedures. Together, Parents, Teachers and Students can achieve goals that will allow for future success of our children. Kingston Elementary 2016-2017 Tutoring Program K-5th Grade
The Tutoring Program will be Monday thru Friday 7:00-8:00.am For more information please call the Elementary at 564-2993. Student behavior and discipline rules during the regular day will apply to the before school tutoring program.
Transportation Schedule Due to keeping down bus overloading, we are asking that your child have the same afternoon schedule every day.
It’s almost book fair time!!! You can check out our Book Fair Web Site 21 days before our in school fair begins using Find a Fair at: www.scholastic.com/ fair. Our Scholastic Book Fair is scheduled for October 10 th – October 18th. The book fair will be open every day from 7:30 AM until 4:00 PM except from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM when we will close for lunch. In addition on October 18 th, the This means no changing of buses. If your night of Parent-Teacher Conference, we will stay open until 9:00 PM! We accept child plans to have students come home with the following payment methods at our fair: them, you must make arrangements for all to be picked up.

You can access the online extension through our book fair web site mentioned above. We can really use parent/guardian volunteers during certain hours of the book fair. If you can help on any day or time, please contact me by email at [email protected] or simply send a note with your child. Our busiest time is from 7:30 AM to about 8:30 AM and again from 2:30 PM to about 3:45 PM. Any hours you can volunteer would be greatly appreciated. You will receive one book of your choice (cost of up to $15) for each day of volunteering .

Kingston Elementary basketball practices are in full swing and the season is just around the corner. As of now the first games will be in Colbert on September 19th. Each team will practice one day a week until 5:00 pm on days that we have school. 5th Grade Boys Mondays 4th Grade Boys Wednesdays
5th Grade Girls Tuesdays 4th Grade Girls Thursdays
We are looking forward to representing Kingston Elementary as we travel and play other schools. You can find our schedule on our website: (www.kingston.k12.ok.us) under Elementary, P.E., & Adkins The P.E. classes have been doing a great job experiencing and playing new games. They have also shown a great attitude enduring the heat while getting plenty of breaks and water. Coach Adkins
