Business Advisory Group 1. Additions to Agenda a. None 2. HR Updates a. None 3. SELPA – Rusty Gordon a. Work group continues. Next month or 2, vote on decisions. b. MOE – If you change your test, you’re opening your district to scrutiny. c. Department of Finance is coming in next week for a show and tell for SELPA d. DOF contacted us – Butte County has been selected to visit on how we implement the dollars. Next will be Chico State and then Butte College. 4. IFAS Call Support – Adrian Barron a. Numbers didn’t pencil out – due to the money that you spend vs. what you will get. b. Still okay to call System Support @ BCOE after hours. If someone is available, they will answer the call. 5. Property Tax Consortium– Adrian Barron a. Developer fees – Interested in fees study? Adrian took a poll. 6. S & C (Supplemental and Concentration Grant Funds) Letters from ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) and CDE (California Department of Education) – Adrian Barron (Handout) a. Adrian reviewed S & C (unduplicated kids) See Handout from June 2015 b. Discussion with Palermo – Ruthie Anaya (Mark Leach is in their negotiations) c. MPP needs to be the same on LCAP 7. Accounting for Transportation in your LCAP – Adrian Barron a. Previous discussion: Services you’re offering to students above and beyond. If you don’t spend transportation money, you’ll get a finding in an audit. b. Further discussion, Adrian has list re: outcome. nd 8. 2 Interim Evaluation Criteria – Adrian Barron a. Form – Everyone is familiar with the form. 9. Jobs-a-like (CASBO) – Tad Alexander a. BCOE will be hosting this workshop. b. If you have any other ideas you might like to see brought to BCOE ie. A/P, ASB, Sick leave laws, ACA, Sick leave for all, HR c. Records retention is a breakout session. d. When enrollment form is available, will send out to all. e. All are interested in having more classes locally – Tad Alexander is working on it. 10. MAG (Maintenance Advisory Group)– Tad Alexander a. Next meeting will be tomorrow, 1/29 b. Meetings will probably be set up on a quarterly basis with Jim Simone. c. If not well attended, will not be continued.

11. Prop 39 Consortium – Tad Alexander a. Team selected the vendor for audit. b. Anyone want to participate? c. Hank is very good with the presentation d. They give options available. e. Work Crew works at night as promised. 12. THINK ABOUT IT: New BAG name ?

BUSINESS PLUS ADVISORY GROUP 1. ACA – Julie Bruce a. 1095C update – Software has been received and is currently being tested. b. Julie conducted a seminar with a Charter School – All went well. c. Set-up does need to be changed. d. Sungard needs to make the change because currently you can see ALL people instead of just by district. e. 2 hour seminar is available. Contact Julie for Sign-up. f. Coming in pretty clean. g. ACA reporting book – Please review before training. h. Christy Patterson is working on a “Cheat-sheet”. She already has a draft. 2. Year-End Process – Jan Sorenson a. Updates – W-2 is out and received b. Processed 1099’s - $600+ get a 1099 3. Business Plus Committee Update – Tad Alexander a. Challenges were listed with group. b. Heather Naylor and Susan Watts volunteered for committee with Julie Bruce c. Meeting with Jan Sorenson, Matt DiSalvo, Tad Alexander and Business Plus. Now have new circuit and is more stable.
