Location Qingpu, Shanghai, China Client Shanghai Puxiang Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. SWA Scope Master Plan Review Landscape Concept Design, SD and DD Size Site: 8.1 hectares (20 acres)
The project is located in Qingpu District, west of Shanghai, China, where village character is strongly influenced by the Yangtze River. The project site is about 20 acres with a central canal running through it, in addition to two rivers adjacent to the east and south. The overall goal of SWA is to re-create a Water Village by utilizing the existing canal with a hierarchy of open spaces to accommodate various uses within the community. The project is targeted toward young professionals and consists of villas with distinctive local residential housing characteristics, high-rise buildings with a modern character along with retail and service apartments that provide urban street frontage.
