Call to Order - Motion by Jeremy/ seconded by Vicky/ approved unanimously. Public Comment – a. Jeremy : Recap of 2016 i. There were 252 registered kids this year which is up from 170 from 4 or 5 years ago. While FLL continues to grow each year, the numbers are down in the other leagues. In 2016 FLL had 1. 8 T-ball teams; 2. 8 Instructional teams; 3. 6 Minors teams; and 4. 3 Majors teams Bristol has 3 leagues – this is a testament to the parents and coaches – every year FLL improves, whereas leagues like Edgewood have become stagnant because they always did things the same way. ii. During the Watson tournament, League received numerous compliments on the facilities and the game play. iii. Thank you to the Board of Directors, the Parents and the Kids for making it such a successful season. iv. Accomplishments: 1. Opening of the new field. This field will be even better next year. Many thanks go out to Hank Lodge and Steve Joclyn for everything they have done in connection with this new field. 2. Eagle Scout Dugout Project a. Worked on the dugouts and added improvements like cubbies for helmets. b. There will eventually be a plaque on the dugouts recognizing the Eagle Scout project. 3. Shack – a. The shack committee did an amazing job this year keeping the shack staffed with volunteers. b. Shack brought in $11,000 more in revenue this year over last year with only an additional $700 spent on expenses.

b. Funds toward next year – i. League has $32,000 cash balance going into next year. - This money will be invested in equipment for the League and the fields. Up to $2,000 approved to research/do due diligence regarding the conversion of Watson into a dual purpose 50/70 field. - Would open up play to all of Bristol’s 13 year old players and allow FLL to keep our own players longer. Help prepare kids for the transition to a 60/90 field. a. b.
