Gave out player awards prior to commencement of meeting, waiting for quorum. a. Recipients were: i. Jordan Anthony; ii. Nathan Anthony; iii. Matthew Smith; iv. Jaden Santiago; v. Dominic Ruffino; vi. Ryan Maglio; and vii. Cole Varano

Call to Order - Motion by Dean/ seconded by Corey/ approved unanimously. a. Public Comment – Mike Church – at meeting to represent Diamond Kings i. Dean: Diamond Kings is looking to be able to use FLL fields when they are available – not looking to take away play time from league. ii. Mike Church: feels that the relationship between FLL and DK has been one that ebbs and flows but is very happy with the relationship. 1. Can do a couple clinics throughout the year, need to get them scheduled ahead of time (before the season sneaks up on us). iii. Jeremy: DK has a good relationship with Southington West. He cleans up after his team. Offers summer camps, wood bat leagues etc. iv. Gordon: likes the idea of DK being coming down. Concerned if we will be able to offer enough field time…Sundays? Maybe Saturday nights? It is fine by Mike. v. Jeremy: Mike Church provides Edgewood with Coaches Clinics vi. Vicky: T-ball and instructional Coaches need help/guidance….need to get the kids having fun. vii. Corey: Will we be able to offer anything if we have 50/70 league? viii. Dean: player development program with DK for league – they already do this with other leagues. ix. Jeremy: most of the program offerings will be offseason, not during the regular season. x. Dean: AAU does games on the weekends, double headers. 1. Winter preseason clinic run by FLL at DK (44 kids last year 2. League charges $60 per player (wasn’t about making money) xi. Dave: what else can he offer us? Possible use of DK for batting practice during the week at a discount?

xii. Dean: DK runs Edgewood winter clinics. DK will have spring teams this year and games on the weekend. xiii. Corey: Sundays – break up clinics to separate younger and older kids xiv. Dean will reach out to DK. Jim should use his relationship with DK. Approve Treasurer’s report – No report available – Quick book’s issue. $23,000 in bank. Approve October Meeting Minutes a. Motion by Corey to approve October Minutes / Seconded by Gordon /approved unanimously D5 President’s Meeting Notes a. Bylaws and Constitution need to be handed in this season. i. This needs to be done every three years. ii. Board members to read both and recommend and changes. Junior Umpire Program a. Chris Wasieleuski is building a junior umpire program. b. Chris will also do an umpire clinic for the league any time. Nomination Umpire and Chief a. Dylan Simard may be interested Banquet Recap a. Final bill should be in the mail – due to a pricing issue for the kids pricing (too high) Christine had to have them reissue the bill. b. League owe a credit to Dunphy’s for their team sponsorship and the sugar machine Fall Clean-up a. What’s Left i. Water Dept. scheduled to come on Wed 11/8 ii. Anderson coming next week to blow out the line. Once water is out, need to blow out the lines of the building. iii. Pilot light is out. Need to turn off the valves for the propane. iv. Once it is inspected in the spring will turn the valves to the propane back on. v. Extra food was donated to St. Vincent DePaul. vi. Lost and found was donated to NEMS donation drive. BOD Monthly Meeting Day possible change for remainder of fall/winter a. For during the season, do we want to consider Sunday nights? Table until later. b. For December-March we have Giamatti – let’s do a vote for 12/7. 2018 Spring Registration a. Online Registration to open in November. i. Need raffle prize to be able to open online registration ii. Registration discount – our fees are probably the lowest in Bristol, McCabe lower for t-ball but higher for higher level. Wolcott at $140-150 for majors. Maybe go up more at the higher levels, less in the middle and Tball at the same.

We are looking at higher fees with MLB names, and with new USA bat purchases. 1. Ryan: need to make training to newer coaches. 2. Corey: with online registration, if you sign in before 1/1, you get last season’s price - after 1/1, new fee. Could do multiple levels of fees depending on the day. 3. Steve will do analysis of prices. Edgewood $100/$100 registration/raffle. Max 2 kids. iii. Raffle – 1. Jeremy: great wolf lodge as an option, visa gift cards, and S&S gift cards. Rules for raffle. Need to have receipts. 2. Joe: do we want to look at discounted TV from ShopRite. 5 gifts. 3. See about Disney Park Hopper pass as possible raffle prize. iv. Online registration opening - earliest 11/15. Registration Breakfast Fundraiser a. Date and location to be confirmed. Giamatti 1/13 – 7am – 1pm. b. Royal said he’d order all food. Steve’s Capital Project Review – a. Two estimates for shack renovations. Quotes ranging widely. $27,800 (32,000), LA Rich $16,700(19,200), JC Tonotti will get quote this week. Steve likes LA Rich and Tonotti. About a week’s project for all the work. Hank Lodge will fundraise for us. Should earmark as a high priority. b. Interior, United Way of Central CT, Baseball Refurbishment through MLB, Main Street in January. Email Steve with any other upgrade ideas. a. Irrigation update b. Shack renovation c. d. Big Al’s – March 14th and 15th. $181 per league, any amount of coaches. Hit up all coaches, especially for younger levels. Vicky, need to hype up getting coaches at breakfast. New Items: a. Send out a reminder about 4/5 year olds. Packages to the schools and daycares. b. Put something on Bristol Talks. Have to go through board of Ed, one pager. Do a half sheet and send it out now.
