Huawei Shanghai Campus
SWA provided landscape architectural services for this 67-acre (27-hectare) high-tech corporate campus with the goal of providing a peaceful environment for the workers. Sculptural landforms, thick slope plantings and large cascading lake features combine to form a dramatic meandering landscape on the west garden. To the east, a folded and forested landscape is traversed by a series of passages and watercourses leading to a central pond by the cafeteria. An adjoining wetland landscape provides for off site overland flows during storm periods and opportunities to cleanse water runoff within the site. The landscape palette capitalizes on the unique Shanghai flora and its strong seasonality.
