I am writing this Facebook post intends to help Yolo County Animal Services Shelter to educate general public and pet’s owners on the importance of pet vaccinating, what it means to have vaccinating and what we should do to support. In the second paragraph, I simply introduced what is vaccination and the basic type of vaccine for dogs and cats. And in the third paragraph, I provided a guide for those people who are want to get vaccinated for their pets. And the information also is shown below in the visual which make people easier to understand. Since most of pet’s owners are animal lovers, I believe they will pay attention to their pet’s health and take actions.

Facebook Post: Do you want your pet live healthier and longer? Do you want to live around with an easyaffected pets which also make you sick and uncomfortable? Since we are animal lovers, it is very easy to take your pet to the veterinarian and schedule a vaccination date! Vaccine can prevent dogs and cats from getting many serious diseases, most un-vaccinated dogs and cats have a much higher chance of getting fatal diseases. Once they get vaccinated, their immune system has been mildly stimulated so that they could fight for the diseases. Most of the dogs need Core vaccines which are the vaccines for canine parvovirus, distemper, canine hepatitis and rabies. Some of the dogs also given Non-core vaccines based on their situation

(exposure risk) which are vaccines for Bordetella bronchiseptica, Borrelia burgdorferi and Leptospira bacteria. For those who have cat, Core vaccines are for panleukopenia (feline distemper), feline calicivirus, feline herpesvirus type I (rhinotracheitis) and rabies. Non-core vaccines are for feline leukemia virus, Bordetella, Chlamydophila felis and feline immunodeficiency virus. If you are unsure what kinds of vaccines needed or whether your pet need to get vaccine, please do not hesitate to go to the pet clinic to check with your veterinarian to see what vaccination schedule is best for your pet’s age and health. To schedule a vaccination date, you just need few steps. Firstly, call your local pet clinic to schedule an appointment to do a comprehensive exam for your pet. Secondly, you need take your pet to meet with the veterinarian on the appointment date. Finally, the veterinarian will tell you the physical condition of your pet and what vaccines needed for your pet. Pets are good friends! We have responsibility and willing to protect our pets from any dangerous situations. Let’s live a happiness life with our lovely pets together.
