IMMIGRANTS IN COLORADO: VITAL TO OUR ECONOMIC FUTURE The state of Colorado benefits from the presence of immigrants, who provide vital contributions to the economy and community life. • In Colorado, 10% of the population and 11.5% of the labor force is foreign-born. • More than half of the immigrant population (55%) are homeowners. • 22.3% of the children in Colorado live with at least one foreign-born parent. 86.3% of these children are citizens of the United States by birth.
