Your child will go to the library on Wednesday. They will check out books to take home to read. Please read the book with your child and record the title on the reading log located in the M.O.O.S.E folder. The goal for the first nine weeks is 20 books.
In Math we will be… learning about same and different. writing numbers 0-5. will count objects to 5. sorting shapes with curves and no curves. In Reading we will… be reviewing gordo gorilla and honey horse letter name and sound. learn the sight words: pink list. rhyming, counting syllables. beginning sounds. We are also learning to correctly write letters and numbers. I have enclosed copies of the correct “path of motion” poems we use in class for letters and numbers in your child’s folder. Please help your child practice writing correctly and not rushing through writing on the homework.
This week we will be reading Pete the Cat. We will focus on the letters g and h this week. Please complete homework nightly! A new library book was sent home today to read and write in the MOOSE folder. You may list student readers such as Brown Bear, Brown Bear that your child brought home last Thursday after reading with your child. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me! Upcoming events: Labor Day…No school Monday, September 7th Parent-Teacher Conferences-Sept. 10th & 17th. I will need to meet with every parent. Snacks this week(please send enough for 15): Monday: Talli Tuesday: Alex Wednesday: Andrew Thursday: Cambree
If the weather permits, we will be swimming Thursday.
Just a reminder: Please send your child in shoes they are able to put on Lunch Also, menuyou is on the school websiteby themselves. may send a towel. I would put www.woodland.k12.ok.us. It’s located on the their name on the towel. Thanks!!! left side of the page under what’s happening.
