OPENING: Jason Kerns, NPPB President, called the meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. Those in attendance are noted in the chart, as well as guest Lance Kroetz.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Aaron Yuhasz made a motion to approve the October minutes. The motion was second and approved as presented.

BOARD/ADVISORY COUNCIL APPROVALS: The following nominations and changes to the Board of Directors and Advisory Council were approved: Kevin Wright – previously Treasurer to Vice President; Lou Shubin – previously Assistant Treasurer to Treasurer; Brandon Hill – Operations Director; Diana Seta – previously Sponsorship Advisor to Team Parent Advisor; Danielle Pagano – Sponsorship Advisor; Gisho Tatsutani – Pony Player Agent.

BUDGET REVIEW: Kevin Wright presented the 2016-17 budget for approval. In general, line items are similar to last year’s budget. There was no increase in registration fees this year. See attachment for more detail. Jason made a motion to approve the 2016-17 budget. The motion was second and approved.

Bob Grieder ADVISORY COUNCIL Chris DePalma A. Fall Ball: George Helmer presented the fall ball Bryan Herring recap. The season ended on 11/20. He will send Doug Tuxill out an email for feedback. Overall, things went Mat Wesner smoothly. There were a few logistical challenges Jaisen Bishop such as umpire no shows, last minute game Scott Foy x cancellations, Pinto field water was shut off, etc. Geoff Combe x Moorpark Little League was new to our fall ball interleague, and there were a few issues with regards to field prep, umpires and rules. Brian Brenda Melgoza Yasui has coordinated equipment return. Danielle Pagano B. Equipment Purchases: After cleaning out the Diana Seta shed and inventorying the equipment/supplies, the following items were purchased: 3 small infield chalkers, 2 L-screens, 2 batter’s box templates, a Tristan Simon x batting cage backstop, and a hitting mat. In Scott Jones addition to these items, we will purchase 3 new Rachel Moscoso sets of bases, new lighter weight hoses, and some Jon Raskin items for Mini Shetland (TBD). Athena Harris C. President’s Day Tournament: In recent years, Eric Horne we have teamed up with Jeremy Huffman at Malinda Young x USSSA to host the President’s Day Tournament. For this season, the league may use this as a general league fundraiser instead of a Cooperstown team running the tournament. To be decided at the next meeting.
OLD BUSINESS A. Netting Update: The netting project at DV is completed. We received a bid for netting over the backstop area. We will assess the need for this. No immediate plan for this project is currently in place.

B. Golf Tournament: Geoff Combe secured the Spanish Hills Country Club for our golf tournament fundraiser on Monday, March 27th. We need a min of 80 and max of 140 players. There will be a raffle (baskets provided by each team) as well as a silent auction, and lunch will be included. There are other logistics such as insurance, liquor license, etc. that will need to be taken care of. 7.
NEW BUSINESS A. PONY President’s Meeting Recap: Jason Kerns presented some key rule changes from the meeting. For the upcoming 2017 season, Pinto bases will be 60 feet. NPPB has already adopted this change. PONY will also use electronic scoring for the post-season tournaments. For the 2018 season, the birthdate cutoff will be changed from April 30 to August 31, 2 5/8 bats will need to have the YBBCOR stamp, and the Pitch Smart Guidelines will be in effect.
