Welcome to Mountain Springs Community Church
World Communion Sunday
We warmly welcome you here today. We are very informal, so grab a cup of coffee and join us as we celebrate God’s grace in Jesus Christ. Please join us for refreshments and fellowship following the worship service.
Today’s Message On October 31, 1517 Martin Luther nailed a document with 95 theses on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenburg. The door served as a bulletin board for various announcements about activities at the university and the church. Luther had intended them as a conversation starter. His action started the Reformation. Reformation people are called Protestants as opposed to Roman Catholics. This st th October 31 we celebrate the 500 anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. The “five solae” is a term used to designate five great foundational rallying cries of the Protestant reformers. They are: “Sola Scriptura” (Scripture Alone); “Sola Gratia” (Grace Alone); “Sola Fide” (Faith Alone); “Solus Christus” (Christ Alone); and “Soli Deo Gloria” (To God Alone Be Glory).

Today’s Special Offering The special offering today is for the Utah Food Bank. The food bank was founded in 1904, has operated under various names but has always remained true to our mission of Fighting Hunger Statewide. 417,000 Utahans, which equates to 1 in 7 Utahans, are at risk of missing a meal today. Even more alarming is that 1 in 5 Utah kids are unsure where their next meal is coming from. With your support last year, we distributed 38.1 million pounds of food, the equivalent of 31.8 million meals, to people facing hunger across the state.
