This morning we celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion. We welcome all who confess that Jesus Christ is their Savior and Lord to join us for the celebration.

In this passage Jesus tells the disciples that they will be empowered by the Holy Spirit and will be Christ’s witnesses to Jerusalem and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. These disciples and those who come after them are The Church. Notice, this book is about what God is doing. It is focused on God’s mission, and we, The Church, are his witnesses, invited to join in.
Benevolence Offering We give Benevolence offerings whenever we celebrate Holy Communion. The pattern of Benevolence offerings on Communion Sundays goes all the way back to the early church. It is a way for us to remember and reflect the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ, by giving for the care of those in need.
Pub Theology Bet you never heard those two words put together. Anyway, I am inviting you to join a monthly conversation about the themes of the sermons, or any other theological question you might have. The inaugural “Pub Theology” will be held at Red Rock Brewery (at Fashion Place) Thursday, January 18 at 8:00pm. Join us for your favorite pint and some great conversation. Everyone welcome! January Special Offering Pregnancy Resource Center-Baby Bottle Campaign The PRC of Salt Lake City is a Christ-centered ministry that works to meet the comprehensive needs of those unprepared for pregnancy heal lives traumatized by abortion, and challenge people to embrace a Biblical view of sexuality and the sanctity of human life. The baby bottles are available in the back of the church. Please take one home today and return it with your donation on January 28.
Congregational Meeting - Potluck The committee working on the possibility of a new church building has some updates to bring before the congregation. A potluck is planned for January 28 after the service with the discussion of the updates after the potluck. Things to think about before the meeting… *Give your input of possible new uses for the facility, other than church and church meetings…DREAM BIG. *What gifts or abilities do you have to contribute to the new facility and/or the future uses of this facility? *Discussion of the lot subdivision progress.
