THE SERIES: RU-Camden leads, 17-87 and is 3-0-3 in the last six meetings. LAST MEETING: November 1, 2008 in the NJAC Quarterfinals. The sides tied at 0-0 before Camden advanced on penalty kicks. Camden won the regular season meeting a week earlier, 3-0. FINAL TWO GAMES: NJCU is eliminated from NJAC Tournament contention and needs to win its final two regular season games to keep hope alive for the ECAC Tournament. If not, NJCU will have its streak of nine consecutive seasons in a post-season tournaments snapped and suffer its first losing campaign since 1999. On Wednesday, NJCU will celebrate Senior Day against Montclair State, and will honor Awal Ahmed, Jean Mombrun, Mickael Pereira and Jilmar Perez. WHAT CAMDEN IS PLAYING FOR: Camden has not had a losing season since 2002. It has two final games this regular season—today and Wednesday at home against Rowan. Six of the Raptors losses have come against teams that have appeared in at least one of the national polls this year. The Raptors are currently in seventh place in the NJAC standings in which the top six teams reach the NJAC Tournament. A win by Camden will give it 11 points—one more than current sixth-place Ramapo. OSWALD SEEKING 50 : Camden fourth-year head coach Tim Oswald enters the game with a 49-24-14. OH THE IRONY : In Camden’s last outing on October 21, the Raptors lost 4-0 at #2 Stevens. Tim VanLiew had a season-high 13 saves. It was the worst margin of defeat for the Raptors since an NCAA-bound NJCU team won 5-0 in Camden on September 24, 2005.
