SATs Results Congratulations to our children and staff who worked really hard to achieve great SATs results, they are as follows: Reading L4+ = 93% L5+ = 51% Maths L4+ = 91.5% L5+ = 42% L6+ = 7% GAPS L4+ = 91.5% L5+ = 64% L6+ = 2% Beat The Street Golden Box Ride To boost our walking miles and to help the charities receive some money, a bike/walk will be taking place this Sunday,12th July. This has been arranged by a Parkgate Infants Parent. Details are as follows: 11:30am. Little legs walk, starting at Laurence Haines School on Vicarage Road (opposite Harwoods Recreation Ground) 2 1/2 miles round trip to and from start point 11am. Big cycle, starting at Parkgate Juniors 9 mile round trip to and from start point. Both parties should reach King George V playground at around the same time, for a rest or picnic/social. These routes will take in the Golden Box which is worth 50 points when tapped! Remember, you must tap your card twice at the beginning of your journey for the card to register points. Lost Property We will be putting out the lost property this afternoon and also next Tuesday and Thursday. Please remember that anything left after Thursday will be disposed of. Offices Messages Year 6 Parents: Please can we ask for your help in returning your BBQ slips as the PTA need to place the food order. Slips MUST be back by next Wednesday. School meals: School meals will increase in price to £2.20 per meal from 1st September 2015. Clubs: Gymnastics club is now full. We still have places available on basketball, theatre and dance.

Transition Day Our Year 6’s headed off to their new secondary schools on Thursday where they spent the day meeting their new teachers and making some new friends. We also welcomed our new Year 3 children, who met their class teachers and stayed for lunch. We hope they all enjoyed their new experience. Congratulation to the following STARS OF THE WEEK

PTA News Thank you for all your donations and help with the SUMMER FAIR – we look forward to seeing you tomorrow – 12 – 2.30 pm! Entry is by donation. Raffle tickets will be on sale with ice creams after school today and at the fair if we have some left. Pupil Librarians Go for Gold! Our Pupil Librarians have this week achieved Gold level in their library training. This means that they are able to do many important library tasks, as well as taking part in our recent book swap and working on our library survey. Well done on achieving Gold you wonderful people Abbie Jarvis, Aryan Faraboushehri, Caroline Page, Grace Beesley, Jessie Lyford and Sinthu Sivamanoharan!

Returning Library Books - Last Plea! Could you please make sure your child has returned all their library books and any reading scheme books. Books not returned will have to be paid for. Thank you. Guess The Staff When They Were Small The lucky winners of the competition are: Tiya Purbhoo - overall winner, who guessed the most correct members of staff and the books they liked as small children. Barathy Sathiyalingam - who correctly guessed the most staff members as babies and toddlers. Yumi Takeda - who came top in correctly guessing which books were the favourites of staff when they were small children. Well done all! They will choose a fantastic book today as their prize from a great selection of titles.
