Get Their Attention! (5 minutes) Materials: MiMi Monster Puppet
WELCOME kids to our FearBusters Lab. EXPLAIN that in our lab, we will help our monster friends BUST their fears away! SAY the following, as kids PASS MiMi Monster Puppet: Meet MiMi Monster! (Hold Up Puppet)
Need to Know: When I’m Scared, (make scared face) Jesus Can (point up) Heal! (show muscles)
Everyone give a ROARsome “Hello” to MiMi! (Everyone waves & says “Hello”.) When MiMi Monster comes to you, in your best monster voice, tell her your name. (Kids will PASS puppet & introduce themselves to puppet.) AFTER all kids have been introduced, SAY & DO the following: Sometimes MiMi gets boo-boos. Have you ever had a boo-boo? (Allow responses.) Boo-boos can be scary, but Jesus can heal them! So say this with me:

___________________________________________________________ Application Activity (10 min) Materials: Jesus Can Heal Sheets, Coloring Utensils, Band-Aid Buddy Sheet, Band-Aid Labels
1. GIVE each child one Jesus Can Heal Sheet. 2. Place coloring utensils in the middle of the group. 3. Help kids write their names on the top line of Jesus Can Heal Sheet. Read title aloud to kids. 4. Read statements from Band-Aid Buddy Sheet & allow kids to respond, then SAY the following:

If you are ever scared of feeling sick, you can know that Jesus can heal you. Our Band-Aid Buddies can help us be FearBusters all week long!

PRAY with your group, having them repeat the following after you in short phrases. Dear Jesus, thank you for helping me feel better when I’m sick! Thank you for my snack. I love you! In Jesus’ name I pray, amen! SANITIZE hands with hand sanitizer & PASS OUT snacks. GIVE each child a coloring sheet & coloring utensils. Ask questions on left to get to know your group. USE Filler Guide to keep kids engaged for remainder of small group.
