BOOK 18 TRAINING COURSE Book 18 Training Courses will take place December 9 (Ottawa) and December 15 (Woodbridge) This course provides a comprehensive overview of OTM Book 18 guidelines for bicycle network planning, facility selection and design, and network implementation. The content and exercises presented in this course are valuable for planners, engineers, operations staff, landscape architects, and public health officials involved in implementing and promoting cycling facilities. ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT WORKSHOP The Environmental Assessment Workshop will be held March 4, 2015 at the Holiday Inn, Burlington. This workshop covers all types of environmental assessments for transportation projects including provincial, municipal and conservation authority environmental assessments. The interrelationship between these environmental assessments, criteria that triggers them and various aspects of each of these environmental assessments is also included. TECHNICAL TRAFFIC OPERATIONS COURSE The course will take place March 2-13, 2015 at the Ontario Police College, Aylmer. The Technical Traffic Operations Course and the Police Traffic Officers’ Course run concurrently. The two courses encourage interaction between engineering and policing personnel and build an understanding of the roles that staff in each field contribute to enhancing safety on Ontario's roads. The residential nature of the courses allows students to get to know each other in a professional and social atmosphere as well. For details and registration visit www.otc.orgs/events
