The Crusader Chronicle and March February 2017
Ash Wednesday, March 1st, officially starts the Lenten season. Lent is a great time during our liturgical year to share activities including prayer, fasting and almsgiving with family. Talk together about ways you can give of your time or resources to help others in need. Participating in a variety of Lenten activities such as daily prayer intentions, giving to others and planning meals for Fridays during Lent can be a fun Lenten tradition. It’s time to refresh and renew our faith through the season of Lent as we continue our journey towards Easter. GALA NIGHT! Lights! Camera! Auction! February 24th, 6:30 pm, La Canada Country Club. We are still seeking and accepting silent auction items, please deliver to the office. Thank you so much!
There are a variety of ways you can help serve our school while earning service hour requirements. Please contact your room parent for more info. D in n e r O u t February 7th The Habit in La Canada

The Ribbon Cutting event for the upper yard was a huge success. The rain ceased and gave way to a beautiful sunny morning. In the new amphitheater Mr. Camatti lead our students in song with instrumentals by students, our cheer team performed and our Boy Scouts escorted guests to the event. Fr. Ed blessed the grounds as special guests, school staff, parents and students looked on. Fr. Ed and Mrs. Romero used the gigantic scissors (donated by SIR MICHAELS PARTY RENTALS 323-225-5466) to cut the ribbon and publicly share the amazing transformation of our upper yard. Thank you to all who made this beautiful morning possible!
Our school is grateful for the support of Gio’s Cafe & Bakery and Starbucks for their donation of delicious pastries, cookies and warm coffee for our ribbon cutting event. Their support and generosity was greatly appreciated. Please visit and support these community businesses to show them our appreciation. Please continue to pray for our 2nd Graders as they continue their journey towards their First Holy Communion.
