Ordinance No. 17-1851 - Repealing KMC Subsection 11.08.020(f) Entitled "Other Utility Services"; And Establishing An Effective Date
In adopting the 2017 Ketchikan Public Utilities Operating and Capital Budget, the City Council agreed to staff's recommendation to discontinue effective January 1, 2017 the discount provided to electric utility customers that also subscribe to certain services provided by the telecommunications utility. Although the discounts were discontinued, staff inadvertently failed to submit to the City Council the requisite ordinance removing them from the Ketchikan Municipal Code. The attached ordinance has been prepared to rectify this oversight. A motion has been prepared for City Council consideration .
RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council adopt the motion approving in first reading Ordinance No. 17-1851 repealing KMC subsection 11 .08.020(f) entitled "Other Utility Services"; and establishing an effective date.
Recommended Motion: I move the City Council approve in first reading Ordinance No. 17-1851 repealing KMC subsection 11.08.020(f) entitled "Other Utility Services"; and establishing an effective date.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KETCHIKAN, ALASKA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Repeal. Subsection 11 .08.020(f) of the Ketchikan Municipal Code, entitled "Other Utility Services," is hereby repealed in its entirety.
