GAME NOTES OPENING TIP

Gettysburg makes its home debut tonight against Johns Hopkins. ALL-TIME SERIES Johns Hopkins holds a 39-29 lead in a series that began in 1979-80. Over the last decade, Gettysburg holds a slight advantage at 11-9. LAST MEETING Gettysburg earned a split in the season series with a 52-36 win over Johns Hopkins inside Goldfarb Gym. After falling by two points to the Blue Jays at home, the Bullets stifled the hosts into shooting just 15-of-70 (21.4 percent) from the floor, including just 2-of-17 (11.8 percent) from three-point land. Gettysburg held a 30-17 lead at halftime as Emma Dorshimer ’19 pumped in 18 of her gamehigh 20 points in the first half. Emily Gibbons ’18 added 10 points and eight rebounds, while Emily Duggan ’16 posted eight points and six rebounds. Katie Clark paced Johns Hopkins with 11 points and eight rebounds. LAST TIME OUT The Bullets out-scored Franklin & Marshall 43-24 in the second and third quarters to pull away for a 74-55 victory last week. After falling behind 25-17 in the second quarter, Gettysburg busted loose for an 22-3 run to take a 39-28 lead early in the third quarter. The Bullets allowed only one made three-pointer in 14 tries by the Diplomats and also held a 53-38 advantage on the glass. Sophomore Emma Dorshimer and junior Emily Gibbons each produced double-doubles, the former posting 22 points and a career-high 12 rebounds and the latter going for 15 points and 14 boards.

DYAMIC DUO Emma Dorshimer and Emily Gibbons rank 1-2 in the conference in scoring. Dorshimer has scored at least 20 points in every contest and leads the way at 22 points per game. The last Bullet to net at least 20 points in four consecutive games was the program’s all-time leading scorer Jennifer Bengel ’06 in 2004-05. Gibbons, who also ranks second in the Centennial in rebounding (10.7 rpg), has dropped 20 points twice and is averaging 21 points per game. The junior is also shooting a conference-best 68.6 percent from the floor. PLAYER OF THE WEEK Junior Emily Gibbons was named the CC Player of the Week on Nov. 21. Gibbons averaged 24 points and nine rebounds per game on the way to being named to the Stockton All-Tournament Team. After posting 22 points in a loss to FDU-Florham, the forward posted a careerhigh 26 points against Western Connecticut. SCOUTING JOHNS HOPKINS...  Johns Hopkins took down McDaniel 75-53 in its Centennial opener last week. The Blue Jays jumped out to a double-figure lead at the end of the first quarter after hitting 10-of-18 field goals. Johns Hopkins finished 29-of-60 (48.3 percent) from the floor, including 10-of16 (62.5 percent) from beyond the arc. Madison McGrath led a trio of double-figure scorers with 16 points and Rory Cole added eight points and a dozen rebounds.
