About the Eagles Edgewood College’s two-game winning streak came to a sudden halt at the hands of North Central College (Ill.) last Saturday. The Eagles fell to North Central 3-0 at Goodman Pitch-East to slip to 2-2 on the season. The Cardinals took the lead in the 28th minute when Eagle goalkeeper Grace Wildeboer made a diving save to her left, but the NCC’s Kyra Ripoli pounced on the rebound for a 1-0 advantage. North Central added a penalty kick goal in the 51st minute and tacked on a third in the 62nd minute for the win. Edgewood College totaled just four shots in the game. The Eagles had their best chance to score in the 20th minute when NCC’s goalkeeper was caught out of position, but Mady Warda’s long distance effort sailed wide right. Warda led the Eagles with two shots. Wildeboer made five saves in goal. Edgewood College has finished better than .500 in nonconference games in 10 of the last 11 seasons. The Eagles were 3-5 in non-conference games in 2015, but have finished with a winning non-conference record in every season dating back to a 3-3 mark in 2006.

About the Buccaneers Beloit College earned their first win of the season with a 3-2 overtime victory against Benedictine University. Mikino Kumagai scored the tying goal in the 89th minute, and then netted the game-winner in the 103rd minute to improve the Buccaneers record to 1-4. Genesis Dade leads Beloit College in scoring with three goals and an assist. Connor KeegamLloyd is 1-3 in goal with a .744 save percentage.

Eagles lead all-time series 12-2 Last meeting: BC 2, EC 1 (OT) (Sep. 13, 2016)
