Important Dates Graduation and End of the Year Celebration! It is with mixed emotions that we come to the end of another school year here at Hawaii Kai Church Early Learning Center. We have seen so much growth and progress in each child over the past year. A graduation and end-of-year ceremony will be held in the chapel for all classes. A time-line of the morning is as follows: 7:00-8:00 am- Normal drop off procedure in classrooms 8:00 am- Worship center opens for seating of families
July 2: Hawaii Kai Library excursion July 3: School Closed for 4th of July holiday July 10: Inflatable day July 11: Family Movie Night at Hawaii Kai Church July 14: End of the year class parties
9:00 am- Ceremony begins in the worship center
July 16: Graduation and End of the Year celebration
10:00 am- Parents sign out their children (from their classrooms), and are invited to meet in the courtyard for light refreshments and fellowship
July 20-24: Vacation Bible School at Hawaii Kai Church
All children must be signed out of their classroom by 10:30 am. Hawaii Kai Church Early Learning Center closes at 10:30 am.
July 27: Parent orientation for the 2015-16 school year

Kindergarten Registration Our district elementary schools would like us to remind you to please register your child for kindergarten right away if they will be attending for the 2015-16 school year. This will help to ensure proper planning and staffing. If you need a copy of your child’s form 14, please stop by the ELC office.
Family Movie Night at Hawaii Kai Church Your family is welcome to join us for fun and fellowship at “A Family Night at the Movies” on Saturday, July 11th from 6:00–9:00 pm. You will be able vote on the movie choice for the evening: Ratatouille or Up! There will also be games and snacks. Hope to see you there!

Director’s Corner This year is quickly coming to an end and we have had such a wonderful year with your child! Each of them has matured so much and it is a joy to watch them interact with peers and adults, problem solve, role play, praise God, and just love life and God’s beautiful world. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to help them lay their educational and spiritual foundations. Dads and Grandpas, thank you for joining us for a fun filled morning of Father’s Day activities. There was so much laughter and love as the children engaged in some special time with you. Thank you for taking the time to create those special memories. To those of you who will be moving on to kindergarten, we wish you the best. Keep being good listeners and helpers. Please feel free to drop by to visit us, we’d love to see you. We are looking forward to seeing those of you who are returning in the fall. It will be another great year of experiencing new adventures and developing new friendships.

2015-16 School Year Information
To our graduating students….
Families attending Hawaii Kai Church Early Learning Center for the 2015-16 school year are required to attend a mandatory Parent Orientation, which will be held on Monday, July 27th at 6:30 pm in the worship center. Packet pick-up will take place from 6:00-6:30 pm. Parents and guardians only, please. Childcare will not be provided. Our first day of the new school year will be on Tuesday, August 4th. Half of our children will attend for a full day. On August 5th, the second half of our children will attend for a full day. On August 6th, all children will attend for a full day. This allows for a more personable transition for both teachers and students. As a reminder, our center opens at 7:00 am, and closes at 5:30 pm. We look forward to another year of serving the students and families of our community. We have an open door policy. If you would like to share any concerns or praises, ask any questions, have any suggestions, please feel free to stop by the office or give us a call at 395-7854. We’d love to hear from you!

NAEYC Survey Reminder If you haven’t already submitted the end of year parent survey, please do so! These surveys provide valuable information for ensuring we provide a quality education for your child. We appreciate your feedback.
Tuition updates and reminders As a reminder, Hawaii Kai Church Early Learning Center is a year-round school. Our tuition is based on a 12month school calendar. For your payment convenience, families have the option to pay tuition on a monthly basis, with 12 equal installments over the school year. Registration at HKCELC is based on a 12-month commitment. This ensures that we are properly staffed and can continue to provide quality education for your child. Due to the July 4th holiday, tuition for the month of July is due on or before THURSDAY, JULY 2ND. Aloha and Mahalo! This summer, we have been blessed to have Ms. Olivia, Ms. Allie, Ms. Cassidy, and Mr. Chris serve at Hawaii Kai Church. We have enjoyed having them at the Early Learning Center. We thank them for all they have done to help instill a love of Jesus in our children. We will miss you all!
