Suggested Preparation Instructions (In recommended order) 1: Chili CROCKPOT (recommended) Place ground beef in a medium to large skillet pan over medium heat. Using a spatula or spoon, break the meat apart into smaller pieces. Add the diced onions to the skillet and continue to cook stirring occasionally until the beef is browned (optional: reserve some of the onions uncooked if you would like to use them as topping for the finished chili). Drain off the liquid from the skillet and transfer cooked meat and onions into a crockpot that will hold at least 2 quarts. Add the tomato sauce and the chili seasoning to the meat mixture and stir until seasoning is blended well. Add the diced tomatoes with juices to crockpot. Drain the kidney and pinto beans and add them to the crockpot. Stir all ingredients together and cook on low for 4-8 hours. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve chili topped with sour cream, shredded cheese and/or onions as preferred.
