LOFT Lifestyle Reports Week 8 One of the most important lessons of this course is that taking action is essential to becoming successful and living your dreams. To take this kind of action, you need a mind that is working for you, not working against you. These weekly worksheets include some of the most powerful exercises that I’ve discovered to strengthen and tune your mind for success. They correspond with the topics discussed in each week’s lessons. Taking Stock We are habitual creatures. This means that if you can create the right habits, you can make it easier to create positive momentum in your life. Before we can talk about creating new habits, we need to analyze your existing habits. What are five habits you currently have which support success in your professional life? 1. ____________________ 2. ____________________ 3. ____________________ 4. ____________________ 5. ____________________ What are five habits you currently have which support success in your personal life? 1. ____________________ 2. ____________________ 3. ____________________ 4. ____________________ 5. ____________________ What are five habits you currently have which make it harder to succeed in your professional life? 1. ____________________ 2. ____________________ 3. ____________________ 4. ____________________ 5. ____________________ What are five habits you currently have which make it harder to succeed in your personal life? 1. ____________________ 2. ____________________

3. ____________________ 4. ____________________ 5. ____________________ Personal Reflection Because you have been taking action for the last two months, it’s time to take a step back and gain some perspective on where you are at. While the last few personal reflections you filled out were geared towards action, the next couple will be all about introspection and ensuring you are moving in the right direction. Specifically, this week I’m going to ask you to explore five fundamental questions that reflect your beliefs about your life and where you want it to go. 1.) What is the distinction between feeling good and fulfillment?

2.) What is it to be powerful?

3.) What is it to be filled with loving kindness?

4.) What is it to love deeply?

5.) What is completion?

Failure Into Success One lesson that I stress over and over again is that failure is not bad. On the contrary, you NEED to fail in order to succeed. Instead of getting bummed out by failure and allowing it to throw you into a funk, learn from it and use it to give you a nice kick in the ass. Here are five steps to do this. Step 1: Give yourself permission to mope. You need to let the emotions attached to failure flow through you. If you don’t, they will just simmer beneath the surface and come up when you don’t want them to. Give yourself permission to mope for a select period time (Example: “I will allow myself to mope for the next 10 minutes”) Step 2: Confide in someone You will feel better if you are able to pick up the phone and talk to somebody about your setback. The other person is not there to give you feedback – they are simply there to listen and enable you to express your emotions. Step 3: Face the worst-case scenario Do things seem hopeless? Well, ask yourself: what is the worst that can happen. Imagine yourself suffering the worst consequences possible from your actions. How bad can things really get? This helps deal with your fear and sets the stage for action. Step 4: Divide and conquer Big problems are so intimidating they paralyze you. Turn your big problem into a big goal and break it down into mini-goals which will give you “small victories.” While dealing with $50,000 in debt seems impossible, attacking $1000 chunks is manageable. Step 5: Empower yourself with one small action Take action – any action. As we talked about in the previous lesson, all it takes to start building positive momentum is action. Once you get going, it’s easy to keep going.

Affirmations The biggest difference between happy, successful people and unhappy, struggling people are their beliefs. The beliefs that you have about yourself and others dramatically influences how you live your life. Affirmations are simple statements of beliefs. Starting your day with affirmations puts you in the right state of mind and, if you do them over and over again, then your affirmations will embed new beliefs deep in your subconscious. The best affirmations are in the present tense, positive and spoken with emotion behind them. Each LOFT Lifestyle Report contains a set of ten affirmations that you should state first thing in the morning. They correspond with what you’re learning in the teleclasses, and they shouldn’t take you more than a minute to do each day. The key with affirmations is to do them consistently. If you take the time each day to do them, especially first thing in the morning when your mind is as clear as it’s going to be, then they can profoundly transform your life. Week 8 Affirmations 1. 2. 3. 4.
