Mahtomedi Hockey Association Board Meeting Date: September 18th, 2016 Call to order: 5:00 PM Attendance: Alex Rogosheske, Dino Marino, Mike Kasel, Susan Decker, Doug Bartholomew, Nick Frattalone, Connie Tanner, Kim Schwieters, JJ Begley, Kevin Suoja Missing: Cory Huberty Prior Meeting Minutes Approval - previous minutes approved by Alex and 2nd Kim Audience feedback Presidents Report – Coach interviews are complete and the coaches have been named. All locker room volunteers will have to be screened for fall camp and warm-ups. There are still many open DIBS available for the upcoming camp/evals/warm ups. Tryout plan is in place and ready for Evaluations. Sheli is scheduling D2 ice for the Sept. 19th deadline. Fall camp is going very successful VP Report –Tryout Jerseys and equipment are set and ready for handouts. Coach bags are also ready for handout. 1st aid kits are getting setup and some need to be replaced and are ordered. Dec graffiti will be fixed by Dan and he will supply the sprayer. Treasure Reports – All but 4 tournaments have been paid for. All scrimmages for Squirts/Bantams/u8 refs have been booked. Bantam Update – Team sizes are AA-15 B1-17 B2-17 C-18 with 2 Goalies slated for each PeeWee Update – Team sizes are AA-13 A-14 B1-14 B2-14 C-14 with 2 goalies each Squirt Update – Team sizes are A-12 1 goalie B1-12 1 goalie B1-12 1 Goalie B2-13 1 Goalie C 13 1 Goalie C-13 1 Goalie Mites Update – The new program for the Intro to Hockey was discussed and program details will come forth next few weeks Girls Update – Team size U10A-10 U10B-11 1 goalie each U12A-10 U12B-11 with 1 goalie Sponsorships – Cory missing and nothing to update. Rink Update – Alex had Powerpoint to show board the progress and will plan for community update for Oct. D2 Report – We need refs. Team declarations are due asap. Bantam C tournament for MYHA will happen. PCA (Positive Coaching Alliance)/Recruitment Received $500 grant for PCA Class. Received 10 additional sets of equipment for total of 16 sets. New Business – Motion to incorporate “intro to Hockey” as described by Mike/Connie. JJ motion Kevin 2nd all in favor Red path donation is now $8987 and we will use for the new Equipment rental program. We have 16 sets of

equipment and we are ordering 34 more with Red Bags for total of 50. Motion Kevin 2nd Alex. Handbook was updated by Kim and presented to board for approval with changes. Motion Kevin and 2nd JJ all in favor. Next meeting will be Oct 15th 8pm Meeting adjourned 8:30 PM
