Main Street Rehabilitation Project PHASE 2 - CONSTRUCTION UPDATE #4 April 11, 2016 Hi everyone!!! This is a periodic update to the community regarding the final construction phase (Phase 2) of the Main Street Rehabilitation project. These updates will be issued via email to interested parties, and it is anticipated that these will be posted on the City of Placerville and Placerville Downtown Association websites. Each update will involve a series of steps and individuals, but as a team we are committed to getting each update distributed as quickly as possible! Work Updates The first week of construction predictably brought to light a couple of areas that needed improvement. Please accept our apologies for the miss-steps and inconveniences, and know we appreciated the cooperation of all involved!!!  The City has worked with the contractor to improve the content and location of parking and temporary directional signage.  Unnecessary signs will be turned down outside of work hours.  The contractor will increase efforts to clean after each evening of work. Enhanced, deep cleaning will occur prior to the weekend and scheduled events on Main Street. The first week did confirm that the contractor’s personnel are very professional and available to work through issues with merchants – please do not hesitate to contact the project manager or superintendent if issues arise. Our goal is to provide a beautiful new Main Street, with minimal disruption. Updated Schedule  Attached is a more-detailed schedule, including some modifications.  Daytime work in Stagecoach Alley is scheduled to occur the week of April 24.  Schedule for replacement of approximately 400’ of water line on the eastern end of Reservoir Street will be announced next week.  This schedule will be updated if plans change as work progresses. Reminders  The daytime work in Stagecoach Alley will be completed the week starting the evening of Sunday, April 24th. Work on other aspects of the project will continue at night and the day shift will be on-site from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Businesses might want to notify repeat customers and regular delivery services in advance of this schedule.
