Results Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship On Sunday 17th July Valleys played Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship Vs Watergrasshill in Pairc Ui Rinn. Valley Trailed for most of the game and got a late equaliser from Eamon Collins on the stroke of full time. 20 minutes of extra time could not separate these sides with Eoin Manning getting a late equaliser in Extra time to draw the match Valley Rovers 1-15 to Watergrasshill 0-18. Minor hurling challenge V Ballinhassig on Tuesday last which resulted in a Draw 1.14 each. In the past week, Valley Senior B's played two games, and eventhough defeated in both games, gave a great displays and were only beaten by narrow margins. On Wednesday last, Valleys travelled to Cloughduv to take on the home team. After a riveting display, in an exciting finish, were defeated on a scoreline of 1-6 to 1-3. The club would also like to wish Jack Lyons a speedy recovery from a shoulder injury which is preventing him from playing on Sunday.
Cork Senior Hurlers Teen Camp Following on from the very successful VHI GA Cul Camps, Cork GAA Coaching committee Coiste Oiliúna Chorcaí in association with Rebel Og, O2 and Mycro are to run a “Cork Senior Hurlers Teen Camp” for boys aged 13 to 15. The camp will have Cork Senior hurlers Eoin Cadagon, Brian Murphy and Ronan Curran as head coaches. The format is a 3 day camp but run over 4 weeks so as to allow players time to attend the camp but also fulfil club commitments. Each day of the camp will have unique sessions and advice for players. Participants will work with these inter-county players where they will get an insight into how inter-county players train, advice from the stars on how to improve your game, while developing the skills of hurling while in a relaxed atmosphere. The Valley Rovers Development Committee have been doing some sterling work of Late in the Club. The Club can now boast of having a Ball Wall in place in Brinny and a Ball Wall almost complete in Innishannon. The Club would like to thank all involved and those that gave up their time to help these projects come to fruition. While great progress has been made some work has yet to be completed in the Bleech and we hope you will come along and help to complete these works shortly. A club text will be sent out to notify supporters of when the work will be done. There are some progress photos in the Photogallery of the website of the Work done in Innishannon to date..
