Stannington First School Page 3 Our Day At Washington Wetland– By Annabelle Hogg. Dear Diary, Yesterday the school went to Washington Wetland Centre. It took two huge buses for all of us to get there. We split into groups and I was with Mrs Mason. On our journey we went under the pitch black Tyne Tunnel. Did you know that the Tyne Tunnel is under water? Well now you do! When we got there we went to see the ducks. When I saw the ducks I was speechless because they were in and out of my feet. We had a look at the pond. I saw a duck go under water then pop back up somewhere else. We went to the park. In the park was a shiny thing, the park was great. Then we went to insect garden. We saw the six leg hotel. It was a bug hotel and was really good. This glass thing was cool and each layer had bugs in it but we didn't see any bugs. The whole school was around the otters because they were about to get fed, we asked lots of questions, the school then went to the flamingo feed. We asked a couple of questions. Then we went for lunch and it was really, really tasty, thank you Jane.
