Stannington First School Thursday Times Diary dates : Christmas wreath making workshop—2 Dec PTA AGM—3 Dec Christmas Fair—4 Dec Christmas lunch—10 Dec Christmas parties—17 Dec Christmas performance—18 Dec, 1.30 (church) Teacher Training Day—4 Jan
Christmas wreath making workshop The PTA have organised an evening when you can come and watch a demonstration of wreath making and then have a go yourself. Amelie and Leon’s mum is running the session. The cost of the workshop will be £25 per person which includes all your materials and a glass of wine. Please let Mrs Harker or Mrs Gresham know if you would like to attend. We have donated our Harvest Festival items to the Wansbeck Valley Food Bank. Thank you for your generosity.
Children in Need—tomorrow Children can come in non-uniform, dressed in something spotty. To help raise money for this worthwhile cause, we are asking that the children bring some shiny coins so that we can make a trail of cash from Mr T’s classroom to the main school building!
Back to school—5 Jan Half term holiday—1519 Feb Teacher Training Day— 22 Feb
Year 3 and 4 children to Segedunum On Tuesday, the children in Oak’s class are off to Segedunum to learn about life during Roman times. There has been great excitement in Oaks today as Mr Hodgson brought in his two Roman helmets for the children to look at and wear.

Reminder—Reception 2016 admissions If your child’s birthday falls between 1/9/2011 and 31/8/2012 you need to apply for a place in Reception for September 2016. The portal is open at https://schadm.northumberland.gov.uk/ccsenterprise_admissionsonline_live/ from now until 15th January 2016.
Please remember to regularly check your emails and your child’s book-bag for any correspondence from school.
