O Spirit O Spirit, lift our eyes to Jesus Help us see him in your word Lift Our Eyes The Hero of our great redemption by Trevin Wax Suffering Savior, Risen Lord. Over clouds of sin and sorrow Raise us up to see our King O, make our hearts to burn within us Open eyes, and we will sing. O Spirit, lift our hearts to Jesus Make His love our sole delight With ever-living bread from heaven Hungry beggars, satisfy Overwhelm cold hearts with kindness Wake us with good news of grace O, Lift us up to taste His goodness Come and set our souls ablaze O Spirit, lift our hands to Jesus Give us strength to do His will With open arms and true compassion His commands we would fulfill Overcome our hearts' resistance With the beauty of His scars O, Set us free for love and service Make His hands and heart be ours

The Shame We Hide Genesis 3:1-10 Shame comes because we believed a lie. 3:4-5 Shame comes because we surrendered to our appetites. 3:6 Shame comes because we wake up too late. 3:7 Shame is met by a God who seeks and saves. 3:9 Shame is overcome by God’s voice leading us to confession. 3:10-11 The shamed are redeemed by the death of an Innocent. 3:21

Calling All Clutter Queens (Still)! Do you love to organize? I need your help. I have 4 large organizational projects I need help with at the church. These projects can be worked on for an hour or two at a time. No special skills are required, just your love for the Lord’s work and love of organizing. Call Cindy (853-9967) and get that extra jewel in your crown!

Psalm 32:1-5 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit. When I kept silent, my bones grew old Through my groaning all the day long. For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was turned into the drought of summer. I acknowledged my sin to You, And my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD," And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

PARKING LOT RESTRIPING Many have commented on how badly the parking lot is needing to be restriped.

Saturday, October 21 is the day! 7:30 am—noon The lot will need to be cleaned before we can repaint. We need everyone’s help with shovels and brooms. We are hoping for a team of at least 30 people to complete this task.

Please honor Pastor David and Pastor Stephen during pastor appreciation month by contributing to the appreciation bonus. Our pastors are committed, hard working individuals who are not paid a lot for the fine jobs they do. Please mark your check “Pastor Appreciation”, or indicate on the envelope if you are including it in your tithe check. Thank you, Jesse Perez,

Deacon Chair

We are also accepting candy donations in the church office for this event. We expect to have about 200 children.

Our church street (Travis) will be blocked off and made a safe place filled with decorated trunks of vehicles and we will be handing out goodies and tracts (some candy will be provided). There are great trunk or treat ideas on the internet if you are stuck for ideas. Please, no overtly scary or satanic images or decorations. We want you to welcome and get to know the people in our neighborhood in a fun and relaxed way. There will be a bounce house located closer to the gym. All of this is free for you and the community.
