A big thank you to all who helped with our Chili Cook-off. It was a successful event because of everyone who helped make it so. Our next important Signature Event is the Kids Free Fishing Clinic to be held at the “Early Risers Fishing Pond” in Regner Park on April 9th. We will need everyone’s help again to make this an excellent event for the kids of our community. We need to start thinking and planning for the June Kiwanis International Convention in Toronto, Canada. Toronto is not very far away and we are looking at sending some of our members as delegates to this outstanding learning and leadership opportunity.

2015-2016 Kiwanis Goals

Free Fishing Clinic

This popular service project is next month on Saturday, April 9th from 9:00am to 3:00pm at our new location at the “Early Riser Fishing Pond” at Regner Park. Kids will fish for Rainbow Trout stocked by the Wisconsin DNR. No fishing experience is needed, as the kids do the fishing. They can learn spin casting and/or fly casting. Our members work with the kids and help at the food and registration areas. This is a great opportunity to do some fun hands-on activities with young people. We have two shifts: 8:30 to 12:00 and 12:00 to 3:30. Or, you can come for whatever time you have that day…and bring your kids or grandkids to fish! Sign-up to work or contact Mike Sarg or Jon Kiel for more information.

Membership Remember to tell your friends and colleagues what Kiwanis and our club “is all about”. Don’t be afraid “to ask” people to join us in serving our kids and our community. This is The Formula for increasing membership. Love what we do, Share It with others, and then Live It. Service – Fellowship – Fun. It’s what sets Kiwanis apart from other service organizations. It is also important to follow-up with people after they have visited our club. The personal touch is always the best way to attract new members.

1) Membership – Build, retain and support Kiwanis membership 2) Club Growth – Love your club, share it with others, live it by being involved in the Formula 3) Image – Make our club an integral part of our community
