I can't share with you enough of how excited (and to be honest, a little nervous) I am to be President of the Early Risers Kiwanis Club! I have been a member of this club for 3½ years now and every week you have all greeted me with warm smiles and welcoming handshakes. I am really proud of our club and what we do for our kids and our community. Together we can accomplish more by growing our club in membership as well as additional service projects. I sincerely appreciate your support and encouragement and I look forward to continued club success throughout the coming year. A note to Richard - Thank you for an amazing year! Your leadership has given me a great template to follow. I know that I will not be able to fill your shoes with your weekly jokes but I hope that I can continue the legacy you have brought forth by strengthening our club…… Jennifer

WI-UM Dates to Remember:
Membership Building We will have a club member speak at the next West Bend Area Chamber of Commerce WIN meeting on Friday, October 21st at West Bend City Hall sponsored by The City of West Bend and the West Bend School District beginning at 7:30 AM. Hopefully our continued participation in WIN will get our message out to prospective members. If you would speak at the next WIN meeting, see Jacek Przepiora for more information. Also, each week we are identifying a specific person at an area business that will be contacted in person or by phone. The goal is to add 6 new members during the coming fiscal year. We started on 7/28 so we have a bit of a head start. This will be an agenda item at our weekly meetings. This is being directed by Bruce Wilk, our membership chairman.

Family Night at the West Bend Library Thursday, October 13th – 6:30 PM Half Twisted – Half-Knot Balloon Show with Peter John Linsay. We keep the audience guessing and laughing at what we come up with "next". The audience makes up 50% of the show and by using volunteers we try to make them part "star" and give them a cool balloon to take away to remember the experience. Because balloons are able to pop, leak, squeak and other unexpected actions no two of our shows are ever the same.
