Food for Thought

Dinner Money After Easter, our catering is being taken over by AIP, a company who specialise in education catering. With this change, we ask if all dinners up to Easter could be paid for by 31st March. I understand that this is a big ask for some but it would be greatly appreciated. As of 1st April we will no longer be accepting cheques as payment for dinners, so please pay by cash from the above date. More information on our new caterers & payment systems, will be available to you shortly. Bracelet Sale On Weds, Joshua Y3 held another bracelet sale to raise money for Help Harry Help Others. He made the bracelets himself and then sold them after school, raising a fantastic £61.75p. We are very proud of Joshua for all his hard work and dedication to this charity.

The Food for Thought project has been running in school for three years now. With the help of the Big Lottery Fund, we achieved a fantastic amount in such a short space of time. We have built some gardens from scratch, and added to others with polytunnels, chickens and sheds. We have grown an abundance of vegetables and the children have had a lot of fun, with plenty of learning thrown in. Now, as the lottery funding comes to an end, we are entering a new stage of the project. We are talking to businesses in the local community, hoping to raise some additional funding in order to continue to run the gardening clubs and maintain the plots. If you know of any business that might be willing to help, please get in touch with [email protected] or click here for more information http://growcoventry.com/2013/12/13/when-the-moneyruns-out/ St Patrick’s Day Coffee Morning On Mon 17th March, 9am – 11.30am, we will be celebrating St Patrick’s Day by holding our annual coffee morning. Entry is £2.50 which includes a coffee and a cake. Entertainment will be provided by Irish dancers, the choir and All Souls very own band. There will be a raffle so make sure you purchase a raffle ticket or two. We are looking for donations of raffle prizes and cakes so please bring any donations to the office. Children can come to school in non-uniform this day by wearing green to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. Think green t-shirts and football shirts, green socks, green ribbons. Instead of paying money to wear non – uniform, children are encouraged to donate cakes instead. Parents’ Evening Thank you all parents that attended this week’s Parents’ Evening. It is important that we work together to support your child.

Club Cancellation There will be no Netball Club on Thurs 20th March as some of the team will be playing a game.
