Foundation Stage and KS1 Christmas Plays
Children in Yr6 will be visiting church to make their advent confession on Tues 10th Dec, 1.15pm. Please remember to continue praying for them during this sacramental year.
There will be two performances of each Christmas Play. On Tues 10th Dec Foundation Stage will be performing their production at 1.15pm and KS1 will be performing their play at 2.15pm. The children will perform again on Weds 11th Dec, Foundation Stage at 9.15am and KS1 at 10.30am. Families and friends are more than welcome to come and watch their children perform.
School Carol Service
Christmas Bazaar
Parents, family and friends are invited to our KS2 carol service in the school hall at 1.45pm Tues 17th Dec. The school choir and guitarists will also perform.
The Christmas Bazaar is tomorrow, Sat 7th Dec 2pm – 4pm in the school hall. To make the Bazaar a success we asked the children to bring in donations of Toys, Books & Gifts, Chocolate, Cakes & Biscuits and Bottles. A huge thank you to all; we have filled a whole room with all of your donations.
Dinner Money Please make sure all dinner money is paid for this term. Bring your payment in an envelope marked with your child’s name, class and ‘Dinner Money’. Choir Idol 2013 Our choir are entering Choir Idol 2013, the only primary interschool choir competition in Coventry. They will be performing on the fountain stage in Coventry City Centre between 12pm – 1.30pm on Sat 7th Dec. Please can children wear school uniform, with coats as they will be standing outside for the majority of the competition. If your child would like to wear a Christmassy hat or tinsel, they may. We will provide the choir with a drink and packet of crisps. The choir will be back in school by 2pm to sing at the Christmas Bazaar.

We look forward to seeing you and your families tomorrow at the Bazaar. Please bring some change with you for the stalls however there will be business stalls at the Bazaar that will accept cheques. We have lots of stalls to help with your Christmas shopping… jewellery stalls, frame stalls, card stalls as well as our annual quiz, Irish coffees, turkey batches and not forgetting Father Christmas. The ½ price Scholastic book fair will be in the Library.
PTA Christmas Disco This year’s Christmas Disco is taking place on Fri 13th Dec. Each child must pay £2 to come to the disco. The children can attend the Christmas Disco at the following times; Nursery, YrR, Yr1 & Yr2 ~ 5.15pm – 6.45pm Yr3, Yr4, Yr5 & Yr6 ~ 7pm – 8.30pm Nursery children must be accompanied by an adult. If any parents would like to help with this event then please let the office know.
Sport Fixtures
Netball – The game against St Thomas More has been rearranged for Mon 9th Dec, 3.30pm away. Football – Our footballers have a match at home against Willenhall on Tues 10th Dec, 3.30pm. Please do your best to support our sport teams.
Class Trips Yr6 returned from Dol y Moch on Thursday. They had a brilliant time and were exceptionally well behaved whilst they were away. Nursery and YrR went to see the pantomime ‘Room on the Broom’ this morning. The children, staff and parents who attended really enjoyed themselves. Yr1 & 2 are going to see the pantomime ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ on Mon 16th Dec. Please return your child’s consent form and payment promptly.
Pyjama/Onesie Day To complete the process of our prayer garden, we would like to purchase a few finishing touches such as benches. The school council have decided to hold a pyjama/onesie day on Fri 20th Dec to raise money for the prayer garden. Children and staff are encouraged to wear pyjamas or a onesie to school that day and also kindly donate £1 or more to raise these funds.
Win a Kindle Berri in Y4 wants to raise money for Children With Cancer UK and has worked really hard to organise a great fundraising event. She has even contacted Amazon and they have donated an Amazon Kindle as a prize. Children, family and friends can pay £1 to select a name of a wellknown film/book character (similar to a blackout card). There will be an opportunity to buy a name on Mon, Weds & Fri break times and Tues after school plus at the Christmas Bazaar on Sat 7th Dec. The winning name will be drawn out of a hat on Fri 20th Dec. Please have as many goes as you can. Barclays Bank are now working with Berri and have agreed to match the amount of money she raises. Berri hopes to raise £300 from the character card which will be doubled to £600 thanks to Barclays Bank. Thank you to Libby in Y4 who will be helping Berri.
The Great Big Dance Off Some pupils in Yr3 & 4 have been coming into school early to rehearse for a national dance competition, The Great Big Dance Off. The children are performing a Rock n Roll/Street dance routine. On Thurs 12th Dec the children will be recording their entry which will be sent to a panel of judges. Good luck dancers! Bonus Ball The Gaffney family won the Bonus Ball this week. Please note that money is now due for the next 10 weeks.

Out of School Clubs Next week will be the final week of lunchtime and after school clubs. There will be no clubs on during the last week of term. Please note that Ms Faulkner may have a different timetable and she will let children know when their last dance club session is.
