Part 1: Piecing a simple table runner using 3 different 12’ x 12’ common blocks found in traditional & modern quilts

Part 2: Learn to stabilize the blocks in the table runner to begin the layer quilting process by marking the designs and preparing the areas for free motion quilting. There will also be an introduction to rulers used with the domestic machine. Part 3: We’re ready to free motion quilt in this last lesson. Learn which areas that may need dense quilting in order for your motifs to stand out. Also, we’ll learn blunders of free motion quilting and how to avoid these mishaps.

Sewing machine needle(s) Rotary cutter
6 1/2 by 24 inch acrylic ruler OR similar size

Scissors, pins, neutral piecing thread Preparation prior to class:
Read through pattern several times for familiarization.
Purchase or raid your stash for your fabric choices recommended in the book. If you feel comfortable in pre-cutting your fabrics, please label them accordingly.
