• Cool west, warm east. Rain, cloud, and onshore winds caused temperatures to slip to normal and below across the west. A strong warming trend developed across the east with heat wave like conditions over southeastern Europe. • Cooler conditions for the Western parts of Europe including Iberian Peninsula helped sales of Autumn products but more challenging for Eastern European markets.

This Week Outlook • Cool for the west. Stagnant low pressure will continue to draw cooler air into the west along with periods of light rain. • Warmer for the east. High pressure will hold across the east with warmer conditions although rain will edge in from the west. • Cooler conditions vs LY will help drive sales of new Autumn products, again strongest in Western Europe.
