On Thursday, November 21, the Gadsden Chapter hosted its monthly meeting with the theme “Stress Relief: The Power of a Positive Attitude.” Tabitha Royal, service coordinator, with the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, shared some valuable information with us on how to relieve stress while maintaining a positive attitude. Some of the tips she gave were to do some type of activity such as swimming, walking, and relaxing. Also, don’t make life harder than it is, do something that you enjoy doing everyday and last but not least, it is up to us on how much we let come into our minds that generate stress and unhealthy situations. We must try to think positive and avoid negative thoughts. “Much of the stress that people feel doesn’t come from having too much to do. It comes from not finishing what they’ve started.” David Allen I would like to thank Tabitha and everyone for attending. I look forward to seeing everyone at our last meeting for 2013.
