Longreach Market Report 14 August 2013 A yarding of 1400 head were yarded in Longreach this week. A stronger female fat & store market was evident. The middle run of Cows 4-520kg sold 9c/kg stronger market averaging 101c/kg. Light store Santa Steers sold to 160c/kg with the average under 300kg being 21c/kg stronger. Fortnightly sales will continue, with the next sale to be held on the 28th of August.

A Brahman Bullock was sold on account of Bernfels Pastoral Company, “Bernfels Station” Winton making 135c/kg weighing 535 kg to return $722. R & T Oakhill, of "Bernfels Station" Winton sold Brahman Cross Bullocks to 126 c/kg weighing 534kg to return $674. M & S Mitchell off agistment at “Tattoo” Winton, sold Charbray Steers to 144c/kg weighing an average of 445kg to return $642. R & T Oakhill of "Bernfels Station" Winton sold a pen of Droughtmaster Cross Steers at 130c/kg to weigh at 444kg returning $578. Bernfels Pastoral Company of “Bernfels” Winton, also sold Droughtmaster Cross Steers to 135c/kg weighing 441kg to return $596. Avery Agriculture of "Old Euston" Longreach, sold an Angus Steer to 149c/kg weighing 405kg to return $604. Belfast Investments of "Violet Station" Winton sold a pen of Brahman cross Cows, fetching the max at 120c/kg weighing $571kg to return $685, and also selling Brahman Cross Cows to 115c/kg to weigh 573kg retuning $660.
