Longreach Market Report 28 th August 2013 A yarding of 1400 head meet a market with a positive trend on Meatworks & Feedlot cattle. A very small yarding of Bullocks over 600kg sold to 158c/kg. The heavy feeder Steers got to 165c/kg a rate not seen in a good few sales. Cows had a positive trend with young clean cutting cows hitting 139c/kg returning well over $850/Head. Heavy Cows were up by 10c & medium Cows up by 7c. A top class line of local Santa Steers sold to 177c/kg with the Heifer draft to 151c/kg. Fortnightly sales will continue, with the next sale being held on the 11th of September.
