Mahtomedi Hockey Association Board Meeting Date: August 21, 2016 Call to order: 8:00 PM Attendance: Alex Rogosheske, Dino Marino, Mike Kasel, Susan Decker, Doug Bartholomew, Nick Frattalone, Connie Tanner, Kim Schwieters, JJ Begley, Kevin Suoja, Cory Huberty Missing: Prior Meeting Minutes Approval - previous minutes approved by Alex and 2nd Kim Audience feedback - Jim harrod has received 6 Head Coach applications so far. Sept 8th and 13th are coach interviews at the lumberyard. Jim also wants the board agenda to the front page on website. Dan Lallak mentioned that the fall camp is registration is now open. 169 have signed up and we are hoping to have 210 total. 20 goalies have signed up. He mentioned that we also need to have more locker room monitors.(1 dibs per vol also stating that they need to be there prior to time of practice and stay until last player is out). Goalies again are free. Presidents Report – We need to have great communication with all level directors for Evaluations. JJ is working with Dan On Ice times. Rink update is that the High School has approved lease for new rink. VP Report –Try out jersey count is bantams 67 player and 8 goalies and has ordered more jerseys. All other levels are good with counts. Coach bags are all in except 1. New socks are in at Lettermans. Goalie equipment on hand for mites and u8 are ok. DEC update---Jeff will take out the weeds and no major fixes noted. Mid sept. will paint interior boards and paint is donated. More pucks have been ordered so all bags have 50 total. Ordered more practice boards for coaches. John mentioned that we need to have a better description for DIBS to Aaron and himself so we are more accurate on the website. Rachel Franco will also now help Aaron with the DIBS program. Full DIBS for Head coach (1 per team) Assistant Coach (2-3 per team and no more) Team Coordinators (2-3 per team) Treasure Reports – All bills are paid and balance is looking great. Golf tourney was very profitable. RedPath donation in the amount of $8500 was given to the MYHA. Bantam Update – approved teams AA-B1, B2, C 67 Skaters and 8 Goalies Approve JJ/Kim PeeWee Update – Approved teams AA, A, B1, B2, C 62 Skaters and 5 Goalies Approve JJ/Kevin Squirt Update – Approved Teams A, B1, B1, B2, C, C 72 Skaters and 7 Goalies Approve JJ/Kim Mites Update – Sign ups for Jamboree’s needed. MYHA Made?? Process still in working and details to flow to board soon. Option of the quick change goalie gear for practices, will make more time for skaters to try out the position. Girls Update - U8/U12 will update as they come in. Sponsorships – Golf tournament had an approx. $10,000 profit. We were down 16 teams from previous year. Banners are now out for the upcoming year. Talk about possible selling calendars and T-shirts for skaters with sponsor on them. Rink Update – Mahtomedi High School approved lease D2 Report – Short on Officials and there will be a post on D2 website for more info. Squirt tournament approved and will work around the Fargo Tournament.

PCA (Positive Coaching Alliance)/Recruitment PCA Coordinator is now gone and open. USA Hockey 1 Goal program is we purchase equipment and take a cleaning deposit. We would need 10 small and 10 large. MYHA to have our own Try Hockey for free in spring. Transition from free equipment to a rental program. New Business - MYHA Made, Dino has group w/flex schedule. There would be 8-10 times during season for skating and we would need 4-5 hrs of Ice time per day. We need a new laptop for the Scheduler and motion JJ and 2nd Nick.
