Mahtomedi Hockey Association Board Meeting Date:
January 16th 2016

Prior Meeting Minutes: December meeting minutes were approved. Dan motioned and JJ second
President Report John Absent John has still been working with Jim Harrod on Bylaws and we will need to approve by April meeting. Parents are still concerned with the way the Evaluations are set up and handled. Couple items brought to the board were to have paid evaluators and also Pee Wee/Bantam AA teams to have paid coaches. Parents are wanting the Meeting agenda posted on site prior to meetings so they can see what topics are going to be discussed. All items will be discussed next meeting when full board attendance has weigh in. VP Report DIBs all parents will have to complete their dibs or the check will be cashed. No Exception Treasure Report: All major bills are paid up to date. Only a few sponsors are left to pay their fees along with a few parents. Pond Hockey was a success. $8000 was raised during weekend. $2000 for hockey and $6000 for raffle. U10 Tourney fees were refunded as follows, For U10, 2 of the 4 associations refunded the U10A registrations (All-Americans Girls and Bloomington did not) 3 of the U10B second team refunded (Burnsville did not)
D2 Report – Dan: Coaches need to send email on Player misconduct. As of now this is not happening. D2 Audit coming up to let everyone know where money is going. Ref’s are in shortage. Possible that we will need to move some games to middle of the week to spread ref’s out and also less scrimmages.
D2 is possible to make Squirt B2 level going forward D3,D5,D6,D9 and D11 only have B2 Squirts. There are 15 B2 tournaments per year. A vote will be held by April Meeting. Mahtomedi is hosting Bantam C Championships. We will need volunteers possibly.
Bantam Level Director – Alex: Nothing to report Peewee Level Director – Dino: Dino was absent but reported everything is good. Program is reported overall run better as from parents. Locker rooms are perceived better and coaches are owning the locker rooms. PCA/Recruitment – Jen: PCA is a resource to use for the whole year. Squirts: Jeremy Absent Nothing to report Mites: Mike Absent Nothing to report Girls U15 Good and nothing to report U10 Good and nothing to report U8 Players must be at practice prior to next game to be able to play. Winter blast weekend of Jan 23rd.

Reduce rink rat hours due to late ice from weather may need to be decreased. Dan motioned to reduce to 30 hrs and mites to 20 hrs. John Mack 2nd.
