Mrs. Dudley’s Classroom News End of the 2nd Quarter Can you believe we are wrapping up our 2nd 9 weeks? In preparation for doing this, it is very important that your child is here every day and on time. We have a lot to cover and a lot to assess, so their attendance is important. Below you will find some specific areas to be focusing on/practicing at home.

Language Arts 

Can your child sound out words to write on their own?

Can they identify rhyming words?

Are they able to tell you the beginning sound of a word?

Do they remember to make the 1st letter in their sentence a capital?

Do they know all their popcorn words (by sight and writing them)?

Do they know all their letters and the sounds they make?

Math 

Can your child count to 100?

Are they able to write their numbers from 0-20?

Do they know what number comes before and after a given number (i.e. __ 15__)?

Can they extend and create patterns using numbers and shapes?
