Letters: W, H, G, E, and J – We will be assessing your child on Friday to see if they know all the letters and sounds we have covered so far.
Words: it, on, brown – We will also be assessing to see if they know all of our popcorn words
Book: It is Fall
Poem: “Humpty Dumpty”
Word Family: -it word family (sit, hit, fit, split, knit, lit)
Math Things to be practicing:
Counting to 50
Comparing and Ordering Numbers 0 to 10
Describing position of objects (inside, outside, between, etc.)

Coming up: 1. Everyday Folders: Please
make sure you are checking your child’s folder every night and taking the papers out. Leaving papers in there makes it harder to pack up at the end of the day
We will be talking and writing about Apples this week. Later in the week we get to taste different types apples.
2. Reading Bags: Please be
sure to read through their story at least once every night! They really need the extra practice at home to help them to become confident readers. Also, make sure you are sending the correct book and the flashcards in the bag
3. Behavior Charts:
Remember to initial your child’s chart every night.
Tuesday, September 23 is College Go! Day. Students and teachers are encouraged to dress to support their favorite college.
4. Homework Folders:
Remember that homework folders are to be turned in on Fridays. The work needs to be completed and done well.
Friday, September 26 is Mooresville High School Homecoming. Be sure to support the Pioneers by wearing your Blue and Gold on Friday.
